The growth of e-commerce markets in general and Malaysia in particular have grown exponentially. The technological advancements and networks of internet communication have contributed to this rapid growth. Muslims are also inclusive with the development of e-commerce transactions which encourages their active participation in this modern market. Nevertheless, the transaction which is made in the absence of the seller and buyer and the product or service being traded should ensure compliance with the Islamic jurisprudence. Therefore, this study employed library research in reviewing previous studies related to the concept and practice of Shariah compliant e-commerce transactions.
Abstrak
Perkembangan pasaran e-dagang dunia umumnya dan Malaysia khususnya semakin berkembang pesat dari semasa ke semasa. Kemajuan teknologi dan rangkaian perhubungan internet telah membantu perkembangan pesat tersebut. Umat Islam tidak terlepas dengan tempias perkembangan transaksi e-dagang ini yang mendorong penglibatan aktif masyarakat Islam dalam pasaran moden ini. Namun demikian, jual beli yang dijalankan tanpa kehadiran penjual dan pembeli serta produk atau perkhidmatan yang diniagakan perlu dipastikan kepatuhannya dengan prinsip fiqh. Oleh itu, penulisan ini dijalankan berasaskan kaedah kajian kepustakaan bertujuan untuk meneliti kajian-kajian lepas yang berkaitan dengan konsep dan praktis transaksi e-dagang patuh syariah.
